The Burning Crusade
The release of the expansion pack for world of Warcraft is fast approaching and I thought it would be pertinent to give a bit of an overview as to what will be in it as I myself am excited about this for coming release.
The Burning Crusade expansion will introduce several new officially stated features as well as many more that have not been announced.
Characters will have their level caps increased to lvl 70. This will have a big impact on all lvl 60 players as they will once again be able to level; hopefully this will detract from the number of new characters created as one of the two new races.
As I said, two new races will be introduced, one for the Horde and one for the Alliance. One of these has already been announced; the blood elf. The blood elves are the remnants of the high elves who survived the destruction of their homeland by the undead scourge lead by Arthas. The blood elves have allied themselves with the Horde, particularly because the night elves disapprove of the demonic magic the blood elves now utilize.
A new profession is also said to be included in the expansion; Jewel crafting. Jewel crafting will complement the new socket system which, I assume, will be similar to that of the Diablo II system.
A new land will be up for exploration in the form of Outland; the shattered remnants of the orcs’ home world of Draenor which is now filled with all sorts of nasties. This will obviously come with new dungeons both in Outland and in Azeroth, one that has been mentioned is Karazhan located in Deadwind Pass.
All in all, a very exciting expansion; A link for the site can be found here.
