ps3 home beta crash crashing error
Home //error// home...

The long-awaited Playstation 3 Home Beta has flopped in the hours after its release.

Early adopters have downloaded the 77MB file only to be greeted with a number of connection errors and terms & conditions crashes.

My latest Home error, which resulted in my PS3 crashing into the oblivion of the fabled double-beep was caused by a PS3 network timeout.

It certainly raises the question once again; is it that hard to anticipate heavy network traffic when releasing a much-anticipated feature?

Can't engineers accommodate for increased activity to avoid launch problems?

Home has been years in the making!

It wouldn't surprise me if this Home Beta error and crash is confined to Australian users only. By the way; we're still waiting for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix to be released.

Oh wait, I'm not, I used Entropay to get a copy last night!

This was expected, Sony will have problems for a few months yet.

Hey Yves,

Expected? Not so sure... How can one expect a total system failure at launch?

An epic fail indeed.

Check our official review for the latest:

Really Long Link

Cheers,

Glen.
