Dead Rising Annoyances

Dead Rising, for the Xbox 360, has now been released in Australia and so, for those of you who have not already acquired it, here is a run down of some of the flaws that you should be aware of before deciding on going out and getting it.
The biggest problem with the game is that those who do not have a high definition television will be hard pressed to read a large amount of the text, much of which you need to complete the mission. Reasons abound on the internet and in gaming news on why this is so but the simple fact is that it is downright annoying.
Another complaint is the lack of save points in the mall complex, one that I myself am not so worried about but it is one I have heard from many others who have played the game. The way the save system works is also slightly odd, if you die then you have choice of two options: start from the beginning with your extant character and all his stats; or, revert to the last time you saved losing all experience gained after the save point.
Perhaps the most annoying problem is that dealing with your transceiver which you acquire very early on. The transceiver is meant to provide you with helpful tips about areas you are moving through and giving you heads up on quests or side-quests. In practice this is a horrible device, at every opportunity, no matter how many zombies are after you your transceiver will be bleating at you with Otis the janitor on the other end ready to annoy you as soon as you give in to the incessant noise.
With all that said and done however, the game is still great. Some players may be put off by these flaws and, rightly so when one considers the hefty price tag of new Xbox 360 games.
Also, the reason why your Xbox sounds so loud when you play Dead Rising is that it is using all its processors for the game.
Alskreek, out.
