After a long, five-year development cycle, Polyphony Digital's latest racing installment, Gran Turismo 5 will finally land on our laps this week... we hope! Also coming along for a ride is Namco's action-adventure puzzle game Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom and the latest gore-fest reboot Splatterhouse. On the casual side of things, Wii owners will be treated with some classic side-scrolling action with the release Donkey Kong Country Returns while PSP users can dive down the Worms universe with Worms: Battle Islands

Are The PlayStation 3-Exclusive Assassin's Creed Missions Worth It?

The main difference between the newly released Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is that the PS3 version has eight "exclusive" missions. I played them last night to see if this is a difference with significance

GameStop has been making a killing on used game sales over the years. Now, developers and publishers are fighting back a bit thanks to the advent of downloadable content that bypass the physical retail market. GameStop's not about to let that cash cow just pass by, though, so they've been looking for ways to get in on the DLC market as well. Their latest idea? Midnight launches for DLC

It's not as stellar as last week's stash for On Shelves This Week, but it's got a couple of good pickings as well this time. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood gets ready to take off its veil and show face, along with NFS: Hot Pursuit revving up to full throttle.
